Welcome to my personal blog where I will endeavour to post updates and random rambling from sunny Worthing.
I love creating and am very slowly working towards a degree in Creative Arts with the OCA part time. After completing my first module in creative arts (the associated blog can be found here) I fell in love with textiles and chose this as my second module (this blog can be found here). I have merged previous posts from my old personal blog so that everything can be found in one place.
I use art as a way of managing the pain associated with my condition and have experimented with a wide variety of media. I create silk scarves as a form of wearable art and love creating bespoke items for people. I am in the process of creating a wheelchair accessible studio so once I have figured out all kinks I will post any tips that I discover along the way here too.
Purple Iris is a not-for-profit that I set up in November 2018 to alter, design and create accessible clothing for other people with disabilities. A big part of the project is the accessible sewing sessions where people can come and chat with tea or coffee as well as learn to sew.
