This spring I was lucky enough to visit Helsinki for the best part of a month. Helsinki is a beautiful city with lovely people who thankfully speak English really well – my Finnish is abysmal! There are endless beautiful buildings with a very strong art nouveau influence. Finland is the home of Angry Birds and (for those who remember them) the Moomins. My brother and his fiancée
My latest project is to attempt to take portraits of everyone in the family. It is funny really that I take so many pictures and yet we don’t have nice photographs of family members! Amazingly, it was possible for me to manoeuvre my wheels around the ground floor of this very old building and everyone was very helpful. The guides didn’t even mind when I clipped the corner of the rogue stone step that poked out in a very awkward …
Images from the Butterfly Farm
These photographs were taken during a recent trip to Stratford-Upon-Avon Butterfly Farm. I don’t think I have ever seen so many butterflies. The trick was to look down often enough to spot them sitting in the middle of the path! They were extremely friendly and seemed to like sitting on anything; flowers, benches, your camera, …
